Vineyards and wineries are usually associated with California and the West Coast. Many people however, don't realize that there's at least one vineyard in all 50 states, and more than half of all American vineyards are located in states other than California.
Connecticut is not exempt from this statistic, and offers several vineyards and wineries that produce great New England flavors. A visit to a Connecticut Vineyard can be educational, delicious and fun. Several Connecticut vineyards offer outstanding dining, as well as, wine-tasting and sampling. Most have an on-site wine-tasting and wine purchasing options but, hours vary. It is best to call in advance to confirm hours and policies.
