Whether in daily use or simply there to be explored, Connecticut covered bridges are a unique feature of the Connecticut landscape, taking us back to a distant time and place. The West Cornwall bridge in Lintchfield County is by far the most popular visited bridge in the state. Connecticut once had hundreds of these historic covered bridges and now you will only find a handfull that still exist. Below find a list of the different covered bridges you can visit, and a brief description of each one.

Spanning the Five Mile River, River park bridge is 37 feet long. Built in 1953 in the stringer style the bridge makes a great place to get a photo.

Lyon Farm

The Lyon Farm bridge crosses the inlet to Three Mile Lake. The bridge is 50 feet long, built in 1976 and is the cement slab form.

Spanning the Padanaram Brook, Old Bridge Lane is 50 feet long, was builts in 1977 and is the stringer style.

Covered Bridge Condominiums

Built in 1983, as a cement slab style, the Covered Bridge Condominiums crosses over the Padanaram Brook and is 44 feet long.

Twin Brook or Liz

This bridge is over the Pequonnock River, and is 35 feet long. Built in 1997 in the Stringer style this is a newer bridge.

Churchill bridge crosses over Schoolhouse Brook. Builts in the concrete deck style, the bridge is 44 feet long.

The Bulls Bridge is a one span Town Lattice and Queenpost Truss with a total length of 109 feet. It carries Bulls Bridge Road over the Housatonic River in the town of Bulls Bridge. This historic bridge is an was built in 1842.

The West Cornwall Bridge is a two span Town Lattice and Queenpost Truss with a total length of 242 feet. It carries CT128 over the Housatonic River in the town of West Cornwall. This historic bridge is an was built in 1841.
