Whether in daily use or simply there to be explored, Connecticut covered bridges are a unique feature of the Connecticut landscape, taking us back to a distant time and place. The West Cornwall bridge in Lintchfield County is by far the most popular visited bridge in the state. Connecticut once had hundreds of these historic covered bridges and now you will only find a handfull that still exist. The Lyon Farm bridge crosses the inlet to Three Mile Lake. The bridge is 50 feet long, built in 1976 and is the cement slab form.
