Airline North State Park Trail Windham to Putnam

This trail though largely undeveloped is used by people on horseback, hikers, cross country skiers and mountain bikers. No motorvehicles are allowed on the trail. Starting at the Goodwin State Forest Conservation center is a great way to see the trail. The section from the Goodwin State Forest Conservation Center to Route 44 in Pomfret is scenic and suitable for hikers, bikers and equestrians.
Moosup Valley State Park Trail Moosup, CT to CT/RI Border
5.8 miles
This 5.8-mile trail is part of the planned East Coast Greenway, an off-road path that will eventually run from Calais, Maine, to Key West, Florida. Already, the Moosup Valley State Park Trail connects with rail-trails in Rhode Island that stretch from the state border about 20 miles east to Providence. The trail follows the bed of the former New Haven Railroad.
